hey guys i have a nova extreme pro and it only has 2 slots 1 for 10k daylight and 1 for a actinic. i took out the actinic and added a powerchrome aquablue+ thats is a T5 only not T5HO. does HO do anything? its made by giesemann. i read that actinic doesnt really add PAR. is this true? and should i just add the actinic back on because my tank is just white and it has alittle bluish affect to it..

I'm pretty sure that your T5 bulb is T5HO (can handle higher wattage to increase output), everyone including vendors refer to T5HO as T5 novadays I think, it all depends on ballast that overdrive the bulb.
Try to get 2nd 2 bulb fixture to run actinics and have a descent PAR, or add descent LED stripe instead of actinics so you can run full spectrum bulbs. If you don't have a SPS, clam or any light demanding corals - just leave actinic bulb in :)

Edit: I noticed that you have a 10g FOWLR, so you dont need a lot of PAR so far, just go for a better look.

If it was a normal output T5 it would have blown quickly. Put in a Geisemann actinic+ to get blue back in and to keep the current PAR with the aquablue+.
    The aquablue+ is a 11000K bulb.

i have a hammer coral and an anemone atm but was curious if 2 daytime bulbs would be better for the nem. i know the tank is to small but im keeping up with the water change and skimmer etc. my water is prestine. but im not sure if actinic is the way to go with the nem or does the nem want more kelvin then actinic...

In that tank it is not that much of an issue. If the nem was doing well then I would avoid making changes.
