anyone know why this fish is swimming like this? ammonia, nitrite are 0 .
    nitrate is <15
this started when there was power outage for about 7 hrs.
there were only two clowns in an 80g tank. could this be shock or SBD?

no there isn't a PH there. it does it at different spots as well. it continuously swims upright since the incident. i forgot to add the other clown died 1 day after the power outage, which was on Tuesday. that's really why i'm worried. i don't know if maybe there was an ammonia spike or low oxygen because of lack of flow. any ideas. anyway to help it?

7 hours is a long time to be without oxygen. If you have a lot of power outages you may want to consider a cheap battery backup to run powerheads or at least a battery powered air pump with an air stone.

....update....just read the above post, I would have to say definitely related to lack of oxygen. 7 hours is a long time with no current or bubbles.

make sure your skimmer is working, make sure your powerheads are on. drop the temp of your tank to 77 slowly as cooler water contains more oxygen. Other than that, nothing much you can do. I don't know the severity of the issue because I can't play the video at work. Good Luck

because of the death of the other fish? i read that the male swims vertically as part of mating and kinda thought that might be it, but these fish were together at the LFS ( along with about 10 other clowns) then i bought 1 then bought the other 1 week after. they were together for less than 2 weeks. plus they are very young, less than 2 inches, so i'm not sure if they were even male?female yet. the clown also swims like that all the time now.
