    ** Guy's remember this is a test**

I don't want people to jump out of their shoes over this. I decided to try something that has had a lot of success and some failure,,, welcome to reef building. Now I have done a ton of research on this and also have talked to a few guys that truly understand what is going on. I have a LFS owener that does this when he has a client that want's a reef setup and running in just a day or so. He used sugar to help cycle the tank so it would be ready.

So I'm trying this to see what will happen and so far everything that I have been told is doing what it should . First day no change, second day water a little cloudy, third day water is super clear and cyano is starting to fad. Also checked my nitrates which has always been at 5.0 and is now 0. Protein skimmer is working over time as it should.

I will keep my dosage to 1/2 tspoon for a week and does every 3rd day. I will only do this for 2 weeks and the wean off the tank from the sugar slowly adding less and less. As of today everythign looks great, corals are fully opened and looking good.

I don't know what the outcome will be but I wanted to try something diffrent to see the results..

I don't think it will happen. It's all about sharing experience and POSITIVE KARMA :) Indeed, ethanol method is very popular in Europe (I'm from the Netherlands), however, it has got drawbacks! When you stop dosing, you will understand what I mean!

I do understand but you don't just stop doing it all in one day. I plan on taking a week or so to completey stop..
