we got a nice swell rolling right now, anyone else stoked on finally getting some decent fetch and a calm day? now if only I was in better shape to go grab a really good one, I guess I got to go back and put in my dues again.

it's a good NW ground swell, so it's hitting most of our side of the pacific at some point. They're calling 9ft at 19seconds :drummer::guitarist:crowngrin here in Santa Cruz and I would agree with that. It's an interesting day, 6ft high tide this morning (9:30) going out to a -.9 this afternoon (4:30). To bad I let myself get sick :sick:over the holidays and can't handle the low tide speed demons right now, but at least it looks like the swell is going to hold through the week, so maybe I can be back on it by then.

Sounds like fun.....I used to go down to oceanside all the time when I lived out in Huntington Beach. Also, did a lot of bodyboarding in Newport Beach around 15th st. and the Wedge. I saw quite a few guys go away on a strecher out at the Wedge. LOL

ohhh lol ya I love to watch the wedge on u-tube, reminds me of surfing in Mendocino county, but I don't think I would ever want to ride it. It looks like even the pros only make 1 out of 3 waves, and you catch a beating most of the time even if you make the wave, but it's very entertaining to watch. I've got to get down that way some time, lots of good waves in that area, well I guess you pretty much got to love cali if you surf :LolLolLol

For sure! I never went out at the Wedge if the surf was high. I was a little warry of going out when it was big surf after seeing people get broken out there. Even with small surf, the waves break on the sand soooooo....I've gottne a busted up face a few times and usually end up sitting on the beach bleeding, watching all the other CRAZY fools out there. HAHA Good times. I live out in AZ now and I don't think sand surfing would be too much fun. HAHA

    Enjoy the great swell Damon!!
