sump renovation- how long w/ out a sump?

    I have to take my sump offline because I need to relocate baffles- If I keep good flow in my DT, is it OK to go 24 hrs. or so without circulation to the sump/ protein skimmer?

    you could go weeks if you had to...just keep up with water changes and your parameters

    a day should be just fine

    almost had a COMPLETE DISASTER!!!

    Well that didn't go so well. On Sat. I emptied, dried and set my baffles in place- Left home for the night figuring the silicone had to dry anyway. So no circulation to the sump but my 2 powerheads were of course still going. I figured this would keep flow going and O2 levels up.
    Less than 24 hrs. later I came home to a dead dwarf lemonpeel angel, and my foxface lo was almost dead and three cardinals were looking pretty bad too.. The sump was done so I quickly refilled it to get everything moving again. Luckily they all rallied and I think all will be OK.
