Last weekend I purchased a Pistol Shrimp and Yellow Watchman Goby. Unfortuantely, my Algae Blenny attacked the Goby and the Goby died. Any suggestions on whether or not I should buy a larger Watchman Goby (my sand bed is only 1.5-2 inches deep so I don't want to go to big)or a different type of Goby or nothing at all?
    Thanks,
    Jim Burns

I might try another yellow watchman however maybe you could try segregating the blenny in a breeders net or behind a partition or something while the watchman gets established in the tank for a few days/week?

Algae blennies can be mean little bastards sometimes especially with a new introduced fish. You may be able to try another larger goby but chances are it will attack it as well. My only other suggestion is if you have a quarantine tank, put the blenny in there for a few days while the goby acclimates and hopefully on reintroduction of the blenny it won't bully the other.
