i cant get my brand new ro/di from pure water club to work. I put on the adapter to the sink, put the hoses on got the bucket ready and the waste water down the sink and... nothing but a little spraying from the adapter which I think is broken. I unhooked and the waste starts dripping on the floor. what did I not do right? please help

Hmm I honestly have never had an RO/DI unit as I use Distilled, but from what I hear RO/DI units take a little while to process water once you hook them up.

It should start producing as soon as the canisters have filled, just afew minutes. Is there an inline shutoff valve that needs to be opened ? The faucet hookup could be leaking due to pressure caused by restricted flow. Was the unit shipped with all stages connected?

yup all i had to do was put in the membrane, but there is a flow restrictor thing on the waste.

You could be having a problem with the sink addapter and not getting enough pressure to force any water through the membrane. You can check by disconnecting the input line to the unit to see if your getting a good supply of water, also make sure your membrane is not reversed,I'm pretty sure they are desighned for water only to flow in one direction. You need a minimum of about 40psi for it to operate,60-70 is best.

It will take awhile to fill all the housings and purge the air. While it is hooked up and on, pick it up in your hands and rotate it around in all directions to release air trapped in the housings. It also takes at least 40 psi so make sure the cold water faucet is open all the way, no hot.
