Stupid Blenny

My lawnmower blenny just bit me! Trying to clean out the tip on the powerhead and he was kinda in the way so I shooed him away so I could get to it and he came back and bit me! What a jerk! And of course the other half is sitting here laughing.

 

LOL, did it hurt?

I had some cleaner shrimp that would down right swarm at my hand!

I was rearragning rock one time, so I was taking them out and checking them for hidden snails and crabs then putting them in a bucket of water. I turned over this rock and one of the shrimp jumped out at my face. I almost pooped myself!

 

My bi color blenny has nipped at me a few times, hes only about 2.5in long but it hurts more than you would expect.

 

The Coral Banded Shrimp in one of our tanks attacks whenever i put my hand in. He is very large and has rather large claws...LOL...8)

 

When I put my hand in my tank to move rocks or when cleaning my talbots damsel bites me, he thinks I'm trying to steal his eggs!

p.s. he has eggs in a large empty whelk shell on the sand in the tank.

 

my neon goby "cleans" my arm every once in a while when doing maintenance!

 

:yelrotflmThis is the other half to which she is refering to.....yes i was laughing, not for her getting bit but because if you could have seen the look of disbelief she had on her face. Plus i dont think she has ever moved so fast or cussed so much. I think if she would have found my filet knife we would be having fish for dinner:yelrotflm

 

I felt the same when my damsel bit me, it didn't want to let go, I've worked with a lot of fish tanks and have my hands in the on a daily basis at work and home. I've had fish pull on the hirs on my arms, but that was the first time I had been bitten by such a small fish and it didn't let go for about 10 seconds!

10 seconds is long time when your being bitten by a fish...
