Hello All....I have a 20g FOWLR and looking for a true crab, I dont feel either the sallylightfoot nor the emerald crab are for me, but I came across this beautiful strawberry crab that only gets about 1-2 inches....I might in the future purchase some mushroom corals, maybe feather dusters of polyps...MAYBE....does anyone have any experience with these crabs. The info from the supplier is not very detailed, saying they are great for every situation....I have 2 fireshrimp, turbo snails, hermits and will soon be getting a few non aggressive fish...what is your take on it?

I would be very wary of any crab you put in your tank. Crabs are very unpredictable and may develop an appetite for snails, hermits and small fish.
I've had mixed success with emarld crabs. One ate only algae and uneaten food, my other got big and started eating my snails and my 3" long queen conch.

/\ /\ Agreed same thing...crabs are very interesting...but unless you are willing to give up some little guys in the process...eh...well why not go with somthing like an arrow crab or like a pom pom crab...those r cool and they dont eat stuff!

I have an emerald crab in my 20G and I never see it, It stays hidden all the time. I have seen it nipping away at coraline once or twice though.

Careful with the arrow crabs I have seen those take other critters apart.
