Strange critter

    So i switched out mu plumbing tonight and found this guy on my durso when cleaning it. Its soft, and can move its base. Its almost like a weird aptasia. I've never seen anything like it in 12 years of reefkeeping.

    Do you have a pic of it in water? Is it dark where it was living?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Just looks like the Godzilla of aiptasia to me. Expect Mothra around the next pipe.

    Seriously though it looks like just a large deflated aiptasia to me.

    No pic in the water, but it was dark in the overflow where it lived..

    Right? buts its solid BLACK and has too many tentacles.

    It was dispatched as it was in the way of progress. Due to the fact it was 2am I gave up on the scientific process.

    lol, it really does look like a type of aptasia. there are a bunch some actually look really neat by them selves

    I agree with BioCube its Dinos better tear the whole tank down and give it to me :)
