Does anyone have any suggestions on storing R.O. water? I make about 20 gallons a week. I just want to make sure it doesn't go bad or, that I'm storing it properly.

I would have to say in your home and out of the sunlight. That way it has little chance of algae growing and when you are going touse it,its already at room temp.

I use a 33 gal rubbermaid garbage can and I run the water through a small UV sterilizer. Thats overkill but it makes me feel better and I have no algae problems. I also keep a heater and airstone running.

i know you can store unused salt water in a cool dark place almost forever.i'm sure ro water would be the same.

Remember that RO/DI water will absorb just about anything (pure water) Keep the lid on tight and keep all possible contaminates away ;)

I would run a small airstone pump in it to keep aerated.

I always use for day in newly mixed topofff water.

Then keep going in sump and one in nano.

Whisper brands cheapest and quietest I have found..

Like ~$10 at any Petsmart/Petco for smaller one.

I have a question that is also related to storing the RO water so I hope I am not thread jacking..
I made 20 gal day before yesterday.. MY TDS coming out of the RO/DI tap was 7 (ya, I need to replace something, not sure what yet), but anyway.. I dipped the meter in this morning and TDS was at 111! what gives? I have a heater in there that has a little coraline because it was in my sump and a MJ600 to keep it circulating a little. I just added all the salt after doing that TDS read and put in my MAG7 to get the water really moving and mixing..
why would my TDS go up like that? Its a brand new dark blue roughneck trashcan 32 gal that I bought at walmart, filled completely with hot water, scrubbed and emptied and dried.. then I cleaned it out with a cloth and alcohol, filled with hot water again and scrubbed and dried.. I didnt use any soap or anything.

I use 5 gallon HDPE or food grade plastic buckets. I know that for someone
that has a large tank this isn't a good way but I have heard of people that
use Brute cans having problems. Check out this link.
And I have heard of people that use the and don't so I guess its a crap shoot.

When I put my 75 up i am going to pickup a barrel from these people
BayTec Containers, best prices and shipping I have found anywhere.

I have read of that too, but this one is a rubbermaid roughneck 32gal. I dont currently have the lid on it because I didnt want the water to get too hot

Even with my 5 gal buckets from home depot, I would still get a higher TDS reading than the one coming out of the tap.. I wonder if the plastic is interfering with the TDS reading?

I'd suggest keeping the lid on. I'd bet the rise in tds is junk that fell in over night. Just keep the heater at 79F you should be fine.
