I am interested in building a reef or something close to it, i loce corals but i like fish a litle more ^^, i was wondering what tank size i would need to have this stocking:

    1 Potter dwarf angelfish
    1 Flame Dwarf Angelfish
    1 Coral Beauty Angelfish
    1 Blue Tang
    1 Mandarin Dragonet
    2 Firefish
2 True Percula Clownfish and anemone
    1 Royal Gramma
1 other fish (lets say 5 inches)

What size tank would you think is necesary to hold this stocking + CUC in a reef tank.

I'd say probably a 90g because you have quite a few fish, not because they're big. Also a mandarin requires lots of LR and 90g is an amazing tank size.

Thats good to hear because i really want this stocking but also want enough space for them and the coral, i think im gonna buy a 140gal tank to that would give me more than enough for that list and maybe even a moray =).

I would say at least 180+ for that stocking list IMO.
Just note that all those angels are likely to become very aggressive towards each other, and have a high probability of nipping corals (potter's). Also, if you get two firefish you will need to get a bonded pair (hard to do). And if you get a Moray, say good bye to the mandarin, clowns, firefish, royal, and possible CUC member's ;)

so no moray then ^^, yeah i was thinking about possible agression from the angels altho i was told to put all three in at the same time so noone gets to caim the tank but all three will enter and get a territory at the same time, also the coral nipping could represent a problem.

People have had luck with multiple dwarf angels in a small tank, 55, but others have had trouble with aggression in a 120 too. It really depends on the fish. Also, with any angel they may pick at corals. Particularly chalices, so you may be limiting yourself.

You mentioned all of these fish, but I want to point out that an anemone will probably be harder to keep than any of them. How much previous experience do you have with saltwater tanks?

also, if you were to add all three dwarf angels at the same time... you would need a very mature tank to handle that kind of bio-load increase safely. Probably something in the 9+ month age or older... wouldn't be the first fish you added.

hmm the angels are too much then, i wouldnt buy the potter then since is the biggest of all three and would be the most likelly to cause problems.

In SW i have slim to none experience on my own, this is my first Sw tank by myself altho since i have over 17 years in aquaria i have helped several friends put up their first Sw tanks and so far all of them have been very succesful =), altho i have to admit i have never had any experience with coral i have had some experience with anemones.
