My fiance wants to buy me some more fish for my tank and the LFS got my order of female McCosker's wrasses in, am I over stocked after I add them in or do I have room for 2-3 more? My livestock is in my signature if you are wondering what else I have stocked. Thanks in advance!

Thats all dependent on your means to remove the bioload waste. If after you get this fish, you have no access nutrients from feeding and added waste, then add another and so on. However taking in to account the growth of these fish which will increase the biolaod over time.

Ok I just wanted to make sure I wasnt overloading the tank and putting myself in a situation where I have to get rid of fish or lose fish due to impulse buying and lack of understanding! Thanks for the help!

We have 4 fish in our 55 and are full. We have 2 bottom dwellers and 2 cardinals that pretty much just hang out (except when one chases the other). Sounds like you have all swimmers. How many females in your order?

Right now you have potentially 15" of adult size fish in your tank. Unless you are running a sump/fuge or HOB protien skimmer your probably maxed out now.
1.)What are your current amm, nitrite, nitrate and phos params?
2.)What type of set-up do you have FO, FOWLR, Reef?
3.)How long has your tank been set-up?
If you have a relatively newer tank adding three more fish all at once would not boad well for your critters. Your current params should all read; 0 for amm, nitrite, less than 10 for nitrate and less than 0.25 phos. JM2C ;)

I do have a HOB skimmer that runs 24/7 and the tank has been set up for 3-4 years now it has just been down sized to fit into our apartment. It is on its way to be a mixed reef, I have 50-60lbs of LR 4in sand bed, my parameters are: Ph: 8.4
    ALK: 2.8 meql
    Ammonia:0
    Nitrate:0
    Nitrite:0
    Temp 77-78ish
    SG: 1.024

Right now the clowns are in the tank until my 29 is set up and cycled so they will not be in the tank for more that 1-2 months longer. Thanks for the help everybody keep it coming lol.

I think you'd be fine after taking the clowns out.

Well I got the female wrasses in the tank earlier today and had to do some running around for drill this weekend and low and behold I forgot to but the cover back on my tank and 2 of the females were lying on the floor like fish jerky about 5 feet from the tank! Well that was a very expensive mistake that I will not make again. I guess its another learning experience for me though.
