All you guys that replied to my previous post thanks!
But I still didn't find the answer I was looking for.
    Heres the situation:
Rabbitfish stuck to ph. Turned off phs. Still looking pretty rough. Trying to stay afloat. Still breathing but just laying around with short bursts of trying to swim. No fin damage on either side, some damage to the body for being stuck.
    I tried feeding didnt eat.
    Any advice.
Any medications. I don't have a qt tank- so that is out of the picture. I do have a 12 gallon nano up and running with just basic equipment- 1 damsel 1 cleaner and some live rock. Could this be an option for a qt.
    Please help:cry:

Unfortuneitly Totter, I had on one occsasion had a small puffer fish my wife bought (much to my saying no to her ) any way it got sucked up and held fast to PH,
But i got it dislodged from the PH, after about 3 mins of prrodding him off .
( it had actuly put a hicky like marking on him he was stuck on there so badly )

But he lived and i traded him in after he healed , thee end.

But on your rabbit fish there are no medications than can "repair" torn/beaten up organs (inside) the fish.
Luck and good water parameters ( NO AMONIA , and a well taken care of tank ) meening> if your tank is well maintained , the rabbit fish'es chances are better than a tank that is poorly looked after ( weakend fish from the get go )
if he was strong and healthy and eating well in the beginning, then he should make it.

I might add it really depends how long he was stuck there and sucked upon by that huge PH and "drawing" on his inards.

Damsel won't like it in it's territory. So unless you put the damsel in the bigger tank at the same time, then no.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have no idea how long he was stuck in there. And as for the damsel- I have had him for a long time and would hate to put him in my 75 because i would never get him out. Do you think with the fish not moving around very much the damsel would still attack it. And is putting him in QT a good idea anyways?

The only reasons to put a fish in QT is to treat an infection/parasite/fungus with a medication that you don't want in your display tank, or to separate it from getting bullied by other fish. Putting it in the nano while the damsel is in there makes no sense. That damsel has been in that tank alone for a while, right? So that's his territory, and your wounded rabbitfish will most likely be a very unwelcome guest. You can build or buy a fishtrap to take the damsel back out of the display tank later. I would be concerned about moving the rabbitfish to the other tank stressing him out and weakening him more. Good luck.

totter there was nothing you could do. in fact you did all the right things. taking the fish out to quarantine would just cause more stress to an already stressed fish, you woulda lost it sooner. look on the bright side ; possibly hunt for your next new fish. karma.

Well totter and maybe the rest, and it just dawned on me, >
the real "problem" here is the PH's get rid of them ( for the sake of other fish/snails )
I switched to the *Koraila* water jets and i couldint be happier with their performance and the way their made.

Thanks wildreef and everyone else. But thats what I got running two koralia and one maxi jet with the mod. He was stuck in the koralia.
O well, I will just have to search for a replacement, possibly another rabbitfish- I really enjoyed this one. White body with bluish stripes between its eyes. He was a beauty!
