Very nice additions Steve, but I believe your peppermint shrimp is a camelback shrimp.

I almost bought a pair of camelbacks and thought they were peppermints so just thought I would chime in with my two cents. Cool additions either way. I have heard that they get bigger and can be a bit more aggressive than peppermints however.

+1 on that Steve confusing Peppermints with camelbacks

the good news - they have got that aiptasia and others beside
the bad news - Zoanthids are also considered food or toys? as I have found my frags in other areas last couple of mornings

I'm sending good vibes your way so the fake peps will eat the aiptasia. Looking very healthy, Steve.

this was how the tank looked Saturday before lunch time

this is how it looks today

the tank was stripped down, and re set up in 30 minutes flat Saturday at 11am - all but 1 rock was removed, and then re set- looking almost identical to how it was before

    reason
    [IMG]

this crab was spotted by my 7 year old Alan in a hole in the very bottom rock on the left hand side

we stripped it - removed the crab (which may be the reason my Zoanthids had moved recently

my son helped me remove water and place in 2 x 2 gallon buckets
remove live corals and then remove the rock
he then poked the crab out of the rock with the end of a artists paint brush

the crab was intended to be used as Niger Trigger food
but Alan's request "Can I have it?"

    resulted in this
    [IMG]

a hasty set up using old water and dead coral skeletons - 3 gallon pico with HOB filter and 1 x crab!

added a 2nd snail - to spread the workload in the 5 gallon

    quick update on this thread

tank got an upgrade thanks to one of my friends out here who works in a LED factory
for the cost of 9 USD - he made me a 50cm lenght of blue LED Silicone mounted diodes (SMDs)

there are wired in 3s so you can cut 3 or 6 or 9 from the lenght and the remaining LEDS still work - which is great for fine tuning the required lenght

these work on a plug in driver , no larger than a typical mobile phone charger
Liu Bin (Stephen Liu) - if you check the site out like you said you would - respect dude- these are great

enough chatter on with the pictures

8500k off and just the blue LEDS - bright and wow do those greens and reds flouresce under these babies

silicon/ aluminium and superglue are not a perfect combination
will need to look at alternative fixing arrangement - any ideas?
