    thank you norg

thanks Matt. they are extending well and have nice colouration under the blue LEDS

I have an aquaclear 20 - which I use chemical media in only, the biological is all on the rock
I use carbon for a week as and when I need it
and I run Purigen mostly but swap that out for GFO or carbon depending on what the test kit tells me or the clarity of the water

Great LEDs. I don't suppose those lights are available to just anyone?

    Thanks Barbarossa
no - I have a good friend who works for a LED factory who was able to make these based on my requirements

and he was also able to help me remove the need for my 18 watt 8500K PL lamp - with our newest creation

    3 x 45cm white strips - wired into 1 driver with plug
these 3 strips are 10K - 12K LED and equal 21 watts in total

I made the swap 1 hour after lights went out this evening so many of the corals have begun to shut shop for the night

but Im sure you can see how bright this tank is now under the LEDS

    thank you kss2801

yes I have 3 island frags of GSP seperated from the main rockwork by sand so they hopefully cannot over run the whole tank

I'm thinking about adding GSP to my tank eventually, I really like how it looks but i'm hesitant because of all the stories.
I hope it works out for you because those islands add a lot to the tank IMO. how far from the rock work do you think it needs to be?

Well this thread pushed me over the edge. Been wanting to put a nano in my bait shop and after seeing this and the others it's going to happen. Great lil' tank Steve! :)
BTW, GSP will just ooze mantle out on to the sand to spread.
