Hey everyone, I haven't posted much in the past few months. I moved to Little Rock, Arkansas for a summer internship. My girlfriend and her friend are living at my condo in Alabama for the summer to take care of the dog and tank and what not. Yesterday (Sunday) she called me and said "I have terrible news." I knew exactly what she meant. Turns out my tank overflowed. Luckily I have today (monday) off so I drove the 8 hours back to auburn and rolled in around midnight. The SG was at 1.011. All the corals were already gone. Fish were okay. I added some fresh saltwater and went to bed. Woke up and everything looked about the same. Mixing up a fresh tub of SW right now. Water is cloudy and it stinks.

I'm guessing my aqualifter pump on my CPR overflow stopped working. That's about the only thing I can think of. I think around 5 gallons made it onto the floor. Maybe a little more. So I guess I'm about to do a giant water change and hope the fish made it through all this at least. I'll post later once I get some more stuff done.

    Just thought I'd share.

Sorry for your loses irr0001. I use to use an aqualifter as part of an overflow on a freshwater tank and had it fail twice actually...

Well all the fish are accounted for. I did the water change just in time. They were all lying on the sandbed gasping for about half an hour. Now they are out and about acting normal. Just filled a garbage bag with 95% of my corals. That was tough. My favia brain will be okay I think. All of my SPS had 1/2 inch of growth since I left last month. I guess my calcium reactor finally started to take effect. I won't be moving back to alabama til august, so I guess it will just FOWLR til then. That's fine though. Less my girlfriend has to worry about.
