Starting a sea horse tank

    I fed my seahorse frozen mysis soaked in sel-con. They were tank bred, so that made it much easier to transition from live brine shrimp to the mysis. I would agree that the seahorses should be kept in a species only tank, or they will be eliminated through "survival of the fittest" natural selection. I kept mine in a 12G nanocube and they were great in there. I kept LS (30lbs), LR (30lbs) and enough macro algae in there to support the amphipod and copepod colonies, and to have places for the horses to hide and cling to.

    Keep them for years and sold many of them never feed then live food, it's all where you get them from and how they are raised.
