    yes it will. you acually don't need any live rock. the only reason would be for clorline algea.(i spelled that wrong lol).

    King, I too am getting started. My 90 is beginning to cycle. patience is a must. It took several weeks before mine really started to show ammonia rise. Good Luck and welcome.
