    craigslist. i'm sure you'll have quite a selection in Brooklyn. Also there is freecycle.org it's cool.

    I built this in less time it takes to go to store and buy one. (had material from a job I did at my house when i decided to use it for a stand) 1 hour.

    WalMart sells a 30 gal stand for I think like 60 bucks

    That's awesome. I've been pretty well disgusted with any and all stands I've seen in the stores. I'm shopping for stands for a 75, but they all seem rather flimsy or simply way overpriced. I don't want the water on the floor, but don't want to pay $400+ for a stand at the LFS either.
