I have this piece in my 75. It's a slow grower for me but it's one of my favorites.

I'm 99% sure that there is only 1 other piece like this in my area. I had to beg and beg just to get a 1/2" frag. That was back about a year ago. It's the piece, center between the digi and the RP.

I'm not interested in common names really, though they may help in identifying what I'm really looking for.

Thanks. And FWIW the baby blue is pretty close to it's true color and isn't the LED's to much. The flesh is a dark blue, almost purple and the polyps are this nice baby blue/teal.

I've always thought it was Montipora spp too. The guy I got it from doesn't know and I can't ID it using any of the books I own. The polyps are small and dense.
I cut a frag once that didn't make it. The skeleton had no to barely visible corallites. Looked more like pin holes which makes me think that Montipora is correct.

The polyps look more stylo-like to me than monti-like. Stylophora danae maybe?

Can you get a closer image of the coral/polyps?

The pic is not clear enough. It would help to get a closer pic of the polyps and maybe another of the polyps retracted so the corallites and branches can be seen.

Maybe a Seriatopora guttatus as well. There are about three genus possibilities at this point.

I can't get a better pic with the camera I have.

I'm going to clip a piece and put it in my pico. If it heals and takes off we'll try this again.

Thanks to those that did make an attempt.
