    Dont have test kit for magniseium. Can I do some equation with Ca and Alkinity to figure out magniseium?

    Not that I'm aware of. I'd definitely invest in a quality magnesium kit. Alk at 8 isn't bad. We run the reef tank at 10-10.5 alk but we have a heavy bioload. I don't think it's parameters causing your issue with color but I could be wrong. Make sure you keep an eye on the salinity and temperature since large swings can cause unwanted issues. Parameter numbers are good but keeping them there and steady is great.

    Update the Monti is turning blue again!!!!!!! I think light was the problem for it and my birdsnest looks better aswell. I think parameter swings in temp and salinity in the summer caused it.
