specific gravity fail... plummets

    If the salt not dissolving was the problem you would be able to see the salt.

    Normally you want to leave fresh mixed sit for a while because the PH is sometimes higher than normal and it settles after sitting for a while. The salinity won't change over night unless you actually see some undissolved salt.

    Same temp and same salt reading should not lower the salinity.. so I'm not sure what's going on.

    Yea that what's got me confused, no salt left behind, and I have never tested fresh mixed ph... I should do that once and see...

    But now u know why I bothered to ask... It just dont make any logical sense, I must be missing something.

    Woah ..... Yes I am gradually changing from well water at 1.024 to RO water at 1.024. And the well water is high in metals and hardness.
    Could this be the x factor?
    If with every water change I reduce dissolved solids with replacement water which has none?

    Letting water sit overnight seems to have fixed the issue.
