Hey every one I have a 72 gallon aquarium set up for 5 months as a reef. I had
    flame angel [2 inch]
    2 clowns [2 inch each]
    blue tang [only 1 inch]
    purple tang [3-4 inch]
    and 4 shrimp

anyway my purple tang got ich then was great for 2 weeks no ich on any fish. then in 2 days my blue tang and flame angel misteriously died:( and my clowns got ich [still alive] but amasingly the purple tang is ich free and happy! no clue what happend my peramiters are right on give or take a little but nothing to kill a fish. my purple tang was not bulling them the only other thing is my anemone?
The main reason I posted this is i am going to toronto tomorow to an amazing fish store i know i cant get fish but can i get a coral or two? or will it do somthing wrong?

so if you have any ideas why my fish died or if i can get coral let me know
    thanks:)

Not positive but I dont see why you couldnt buy coral, Ich is a fish disease so coral in unaffected and as long as your parameters are all on par than you should have no issues intrducing corals to a tank with ich.

Hmm nice long run-on sentance there lol

Fish can survive with high nitrates coral cannot, test your water before you buy anything

Im pretty sure that your fish died from ich, even if you didnt see it on them. Ich is something that infests your entire tank. Its not like a common cold where you catch it, get over it, and then it goes away. You will have to treat the fish that have it and then exterminate the parasite from your tank. That should be your priority before you start to focus on adding coral.

while ich is a fish only disease, i would use caution adding coral at this point. The reason being is that something is going on in your tank to cause the ich outbreak. Something is either stressing the fish out, parameters are off or something. Plus everytime you loose a fish your tank can go into a mini cycle causing ammonia then nitrates levels which can lead to more stress to the remaining fish........and cycle continues.

I would really suggest running and listing all of your paremeters prior to buying any coral. You definately have the lighting to keep most corals, however i would hate for you to add something and there be a problem.

I do think however if you want to add something in tomorrow (NO FISH!) maybe look at some soft corals to start with........zoanthids, leathers, polyps etc. These tend to be a little more hardier and a really good starter coral.
