Somethin's eatin' ma' snails!

When old snails live and newly bought snails die... it's not my tank.

 

So you think it's the store? It may be, but I am unsure, because, yes my old snails lived(one new one died). But my largest, oldest hermit died too; that's when I first noticed things..

 

This is from a month ago but I see it again. came back home the other day after being gone for a week. one of my last 2 snails is not be found. Though I see it's empty shell, on side, on the sand bed. ugh. The other snail I put in my QT a while ago.

 

yea i lost a lot of snails because of my sand bed, once they fall they cant get up. now as far as your hermits eating your snails its (yes), i started with about 3 reds 6 blues 3 blacks and about 20 turbos and 10 nass snails one and a half years later i have 3 black leg hermits left and ive seen the hermits eating the snails on a regular basis. black hermits are mean......
