    hello everyone.

i have a fairly new tank on the go along with some cleanup crew but i have had the problem of alage growing on the bottom of my tank so my thought was to add a sleeper in the mix. hes doing great only problem is that he started to take all the sand from one end and seems to be building a nice little fort on the other side, i have flattened it out a few times only to find hes at it again. obviously hes just making his little pad for himself. can i keep on trashing his handy work or is this gunna miff him off.

    cheers peeps

i dont think it will bother him that much, its probably just keeping him occupied. as long as he has a place to hide when you flatten his handy work he should be ok.
perhaps you should give him a pvc pipe buried in the sand and see if he likes it, he may just ignore it tho.

my moms sand sifter does the same thing....he spends the day completely burying this massive rock and then the next day he unburys it. It will also take all of my moms little frags and bring them down and bury them also. He is the biggest fattest psycho fish you will ever see.

Now mine, hardly ever sifts sand. He is nothing like my moms in her tank. Mine will sift for a little bit and then go bask in the light..he is worn out from his day of work! Mine is so lazy that I am having to drop food into his den cause he is so thin!

cheers as long as he dont get stressed over it too much. hes currently under a boulder of live rock at the mo, and it has loads of little crevices under neath so hes dug all the sand from in between that and also built a mountain all around that with just a few holes for the little blighter to get in and out of. it looks like quite a complex system he has bless his little fins. lol
