    what do you guys think of a sohal tang in a 72g tank ? and what do u think of them in general ? oh and what do u think is a good price for one ?

    wayyyyyyyyyy to small......they can grow to 16 inches and can be very arrgessive

    They need a minimum 8' 240 tank for the long haul and they are VERY aggressive. A good price for a sohal depends a lot on its size, time in captivity and coloration. I have seen a few around 6-7" go from $125-$175

    sohals need a large tank. unfortunaltey I would say no. My lfs has a 12" in a display...dont know the size but upwards of 250 gal easy.

    if you buy a small one and plan to upgrade i dotn see the harm just knwo you will have to upgrade for him maybe sooner than you expect.

    as for a price i have never seem one for under 150 and i am looking.

    also as said before the are very agressive for the most part so be careful.

    I know of 2 sohals locally, one in each 180g tank and they do get big, and most often are one of the most aggressive tangs.

    One of these sohal's was in a 110 high before going into it's 180, but it was only around 4" in the 110. Now that it got into the 180, it has at least doubled in size.
