so what is this? algae?

    theres a few on the glass maybe around 30, anybody ever seen this before?

    scypha sponges aka pineapple sponges, they are quite common and feed mostly on dead bacteria, they are good for your tank.

    ok im guessing i had some on LR in my tank? thats how they formed?

    Yup, would have arrived on live rock, either as small sponges or gemmules (sponge larvae)

    cool cool well thanks much for the quick reply. now i will just leave it lol even though it will be dying off once i move the tank lol, just as all the good stuff starts to form in the tank lol

    Looks like you've got some spirobis calcareous tube worms on your glass also (another filter feeder, this time of phyto and bacteria) also beneficial and hardy.

    im moving it all into a 30 gallon. so hopefully all these beneficial things follow some of the LR i have in the tank.

    thats the spiral worms correct? yea they are everywhere! lol
