    Keep it at 7" to 8". I have mine at 8". Eshopps said 7" to 9" and I found the lower the better the level control.

    Well came home from class today hoping to see a box, instead i get an email and my order was cancelled!!! i ordered the skimmer on saturday and i just now got an email saying they ran out... Im so pissed!!!!!! who does that? like it was all paid for and was "processed" and delivery via ups. i live an hr away from this place so i was for sure expecting it today, instead nope. just my luck dude... im beyond furious.

    sorry to hear about that! Definitely a bummer.. I vote SWC but I think they're all good skimmers from what I've read

    Thanks, I def wanna take that as a sign to get a better one, one a little more bang for my buck. SWC is looking like a winner. I just really admire the way it looks all around. Its a tuff lookin skimmer. Id be happy with it im more than sure ;D, now to convince the girly that i really need it ;).

    She saw how infuriated i got today, so maybe shell throw down with me on one lol. She always wants bigger, cooler fish to look at. I use that as fuel to this fire of a tank i want built. If i convince her to get this skimmer so she can have her precious "Dori" ::) but i think it might be a kohl tang instead.

    I totally vote SWC, I moved from a RO to a SWC cone and it is infinitely better. Better quality everything, minus the pump. The acrylic, body, construction, and tuning capabilities are 10x's better than the RO.
