so over the past 2 weeks 3 of the 5 snails in my tank have died.

i have no idea why, all parameters are great, my 3 fish, 8 hermits and two emerald crabs are just fine.

is there a reason behind this?

Not enough for them to eat? How long have you had them?

The parameters might be great now but have their been swings up and down of salinity, temperature, pH, etc? What are your parameters?

the tank has been up and running for about 3 months, i had 3 turbos intially and they have lasted up until now one of them has died, and the 2 newest (only about a month old in my tank) died.

    salinity 1.023
    nitrite 0
    ph 8.2
alk "average" on my test result card

those are the only 3 test kits i own, should i be checking other parameters?

and would snails be the first to go if i do have a problem?

Try checking for stray voltage in your tank. I had a problem keeping snails in my 55 until I stuck my volt meter in the tank and ever so lightly electrocuting the tank. Put a ground probe and had no problems since
