Small Refuge Tanks - Need Help

Anyone know of a pre-made refuge tank that is 18" or small in length? Width and height should not matter much. I want to place inside the standard Biocube 29 stand. My goal is to setup a refuge, and hopefully move some of the sensors, skimmer and ATO into it. Beyond macro algae, I would like to have additional water capacity and LR.

So you want to setup a sump w/ a refugium? A 10 gal. tank is less then 18"", you could also order a custom made tank or use a plastic container of some sort.

 

If possible, if I cannot find a large enough system to fit in stand then it would just be a refuge. I would need a pump to go from refuge to chiller and a return pump to biocube. Any thoughts on where I could purchase a custom refuge tank?

 

I currently use a 2.5 gall tank for a fuge. Water t's off of my overflow pipe into the fuge then through a small overflow back into the sump. Works very well.

They do have a "Micro sump" Platinum Series Basic Sump "Micro" for $99 <-- I'm waiting delivery on one of these now to use as my ATO water storage. They may already have something that will meet your needs. PS - do a quick drawing of what you want and email it to them for a quote. One thing expect at least two weeks for anything - even their stock items - to be built.

 

A 10 gallon is 20" wide.

You could use a 5 gallon tank, that way you'd still have some storage space under your stand.
