In my sump around the skimmer on the bottom there are a few clumps of what look like tubes. Sorry I don't have a pic but they are tan colored and it looks like a little pile of debris with tubes sticking out of it. Does anyone know what this is?

    Hi Jason
I think it will be, Fan worms, I have had loads , they do like to grow abundantly in areas where food is easily available, so in my case they where found in the base of my cannister filter and also on the back of my internal cannister filter
so I can definitely believe that the skimmer would be an ideal place for them to develop
