I was lazy cutting my vinyl return pipe and used a box cutter. Cut my self well so the next steps are one handed...

    Glued some dry rock together.

    Pump off, sump test:

I think I will add some more loc-line to raise this up so I have less back flow if the pump shuts down.

Trying out some rock positions. Water is cloudy because I was dosing the salt into the system slowly.

Currently dipping and adding liverock from the 16gal that I'm replacing with this one.

Sand and live rock in. Took days and 2 filter pads to pull out all the dust.

    NPS hood ready to go!

JK, making sure the hood top was square with the top of the tank. Fooled my friend though.

Got the 200w Ti heater in. Dial control is indexed way off. But, setting it with the an IR thermo into the display tank and it is staying within 1*. Control box is right of the skimmer and the temp probe is by the return drain.
Skimmer pumped out some major micro bubbles for 12hrs. Lifting the filter pad out from impregnating it with so many bubbles. 2 days later I am getting a clean water on the bottom with a good bubble / foam separation layer.
Found some nice brushed SS hinges for the doors. Wanted black but all the styles were to antique for my tastes. Doors are taking longer than expected due to temp and humidity swings.

Testing the light before building the hood. Going to raise it up 12-14". Ignore the snot in the water. Overdosed and got a bacterial bloom.

Ugh, forget Vodka dosing. I'm going back to Vinegar. Have a clear gel goo covering all the glass, even in the sump. I'm assuming bacterial bloom.

My cell phone hates UV light. I'll try and get better pictures with less blown out color.

The power head on the right re-started in reverse and blew up a sandstorm till I noticed it and re started it.

Still need to put some fans on the back and decide on the doors for the front of the hood.
