    Finally Got My Seahorses

One of my LFSs had a couple of seahorses and they were reasonably priced and eating frozen...saw them eat too so I got them.

They are fairly active in the bags, the male was the most active at the LFS.

    Male I think....

I believe this to be a female.

Thanks. I'm sure I will enjoy them and so far the male is active in my tank too swimming all over and interested in everything.

The female has latched onto the thermometer near the top...@ the LFS she was latched onto a tube to the HOB skimmer from the pump @ the top of the tank.

Oh and if I do have some broods and can raise them then I have 2 LFSs that want them.

    2 More New Additions

A different LFS had the goby/shrimp pair I wanted so got them today....and before anyone says I added too many new fish at a time I did take one fish (my 2.75" Molly) out today so the added bioload is still at 2 additional fish....well Seahorses ;D

Oh and I got a $10 Toadstool frag, I got to see the mother colony which is a pinkish tan base with green tentacles. Right now the frag looks like some ABC gum on a pedestal AKA frag plug...LOL

Here they are...the shrimp is sooooo tiny.

Thanks...I do see the beginnings of the polyps comming out...it still isn't all plup like it was in the store, but I'm sure it will.

    Yup it is.
    Thanks...the little shrimp is cute.

Think the tank is pretty much stocked for fish....though it still seems kinda bare....need more corals and maybe 1 more fish ( a neon Goby) if it can handle the bioload.

    Inhabitants are:

    2 H. Kuda
    2 Striped Mandarins
    1 Green Spotted Puffer
1 Yellow Tail Damsel (who is actually nice! )
    1 Banaghaii Cardinal
    1 Yellow Watchman Goby

    1 Pistol Shrimp
    1 Hermit Crab
    Various Snails

Plan to add a Blue Tuxedo Urchin or a Pink Pincushion Urchin

    Seahorse Pictures

I got a few pics to share of the new additions.

The seahorses are fun to watch, they'll come out into the open water for a while...ply in the current then go and find a hitching spot, usually the skimmer pump/thermometer/heater. I'll definitely need to get the fuge connected before the weather turns cold again so they don't burn themselves on the heater (I'll put the heater in the fuge).

Sorry for the dirty glass, I forgot to clean it before taking pictures. oh and the lovely cyano outbreak...blech
