I'm glad it's been a slow build since Reef Sparky had a great idea for the return lines on a tank with a calfo overflow (which is a BeAn Animal style as well & is what mine will be)...that is to put the return lines right on through it which sloves my problem of hiding them and not having them go under the overflow or over the top of the tank.

In that same vein of thought I figured I'd see if I could put the "dry" side of the Evos magnetic holder into the overflow box.
So I called Hydor and they said it was safe to do. So the equipment that will be in the tank will be hidden for the most part by that nice wide black band of glass around the top of the tank....and the only things going over the top of the tank will be the power cords for the Evos.

Thanks will do. Both sides of the top and bottom ply wood is painted as it the bottom of the stand...everything is getting encased in paint.
I'll be painting the inside portion before it even gets attached to the stand.

Yeah whe I first got into the hobby I saw it and knew if I got a big tank w/o a stand or with one I didn't like I'd just use that design for mine. It's sturdy, cheap and you can put it together with a minimal amount of tools.

I meant it had already been moved...to the left of the picture is the sofa and where it once was beside it...The 46 is where the love seat was. So now they can share a sump.

Here's a sketch of the floor plan.
