Skimmer Shopping

I'm in the process of upgrading my skimmer. I have an 80 gallon reef tank which atm is medium stocked. I'm looking at two skimmers and trying to pick between the ASM G2 skimmer or the Vertex IN-250 Internal Pinwheel Protein Skimmer. My budget max is right around $300 so any suggestions or opinions would be most appreciated. Trying to do my research before I order later on tonight or tomorrow.

I know it's a canadian supplier,but there's american companies that sell them.Getting rave reviews on RC,out preforming skimmers costing twice as much.I just installed 1 yesterday Replaced my tried and true,never let me down euro.All i can say is WOW

If you decide to buy and SWC buy it from C.J. at swcskimmers.com He is one hell of a guy. I had a minor issue and at 2AM EST he was calling me to help me with the problem. I believe the issue was user stupidity.

 

Well I'm looking at the Vertex IN 180. The only problem though might be the footprint. I'm afraid to order it and it ends up not fitting, that would really suck!!

 

What is your skimmer chamber size?
