Skimmer seems to be working great..EXCEPT...

I made the mistake about rushing into a skimmer and buying the seaclone 100 skimmer.

I followed the modifications on this website...

Cutting the inner rise tube about an inch -

( most impossible thing to do because seaclone is found out about the "mod" and trying to keep people from doing it) I can tell u how though. .

Adding fishing line to the propeller helps ;D

adding more air! i have a 100g rated air pump, no diffuser going into my skimmer. ;D

cut the collection cup down- (holds less but allows for the skimmate to get collected easier) ;D i empty once a day.

after i empty once a day i reconfigure to get a better skim.

another addition is i cut the foam pad for the intake about an inch.... put it in outlet - reduces microbubble and gives to some control over the water level without adjusting the air valve...


anyquestion just ask.... my skimmer might have the worst reputation but i made it work
