So i bought a CPR Bak-Pak II but it did not come with a pump, so i just bought a MJ1200 and just installed it last night.

Whats bugging me is the amount of micro bubbles entering my tank, the whole tank is FULL of the bubbles. Ive tried to play with the adjustment screw for almost an hour or more. it does not seem to make a difference with the bubbles entering the tank whether the screw is just barley open or all the way open, there is no in between, i have also played with the cup, doesnt seem to collect any kind of foam or anything at all. the bottom ridge of my cup is 1/4" to 1/2" under the water line.

it was running all night, the micro bubbles never stopped, and it never collected any kind of foam.

im starting to get pissed off....

My head is killing me btw ive tried to search for some sort of break in process on google but didnt have much luck.

Am i doing something wrong? does it take longer than 24 hours for the micro bubbles to stop entering my tank?

do you have any livestock in your tank? if not then the skimmer will have nothing to take out. as for the bubbles they should get better in a few days of continuous running as the skimmer develops a slime coating. i have a remora aqua c its been running for almost 2 months and it still makes alot of bubbles but it is in my refugium. of all the problems i have faced with my tank microbubbles are proving to be the toughest by a longshot to get rid of

Its a 55 gallon, I have about 20 pounds of LR, about 2 1/2 inch sand bed.
there are 3 yellow and pink damsels, 1 lawnmower blenny, 1 blue tuxedo urchin, 3 big snails and about 5 hermits. not much yet, i have not been able to afford any more rock or fish at the moment.

as for the LPS i have 2 plugs with polyps and there is about a dozen polyps that i guess were on the rock when i got it, they were dieing in her tank and they came back in mine. and a mushroom.

my water parameters are all good.

I cant seem to get the skimmer to pick up any foam, there is a little tiny bit of bright white foam coming up but not really entering the collection cup

If it's a new skimmer, you will need to let it break in first befour it will start to produce skimmate.
