skimmed water contains salt?

    Skimmed water from the protien skimmer cup, do they consist of salt inside? or just water + waste. because i'm wondering if cleaning the cup daily would lower the salinity of my water

    thanks for any help given ;D

    It does, so yes it would
    testing the SG of the DT weekly is a good idea and water changes can compensate for the minor salinity fluctuations that do occur

    taste it! jk jk jk. Yes the skimmate does contain salt. Your skimmer over time, if not watched, will lower your salinity
