good luck! sounds like you have a very detailed plan. I remember reading on here about another person (I don't remember the name) that used interceptor to kill AEFW's. I thought it was pretty gutsy and I don't remember the specifics in terms of what could not be in the tank for the treatment.

good luck - you are truly a patient man to attack it so methodically!

I have read that interceptor wasn't effective treatment for aefw but I will go ahead and double check just in case.

I treated the tank for the red bug using interceptors before. You can't have any shrimps of crabs as it will nuke it.

Well I believe that as hobbyists, we have an obligation and a responsibility to give these animals that we pull from the ocean an optimal condition where it can thrive and grow as it would in the nature.

As creator of my little slice of ocean, I will eradicate this unwanted pests out of my ocean.

New piece for the tank. Picture doesn't show it but this baby has rainbow rims.

Tank is starting to look better. Did about 150 percent water changes within 3 weeks of time.

    Aefw will lose.

I apologize siptang, I believe it was red bugs that was eradicated with interceptor not AEFW's although flat worms are reddish in color no?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Your tank and corals are stunning as always.

Sorry to hear of your AEFW issues. Some hobbyist do live with them as I am sure you have found out. I do not know if a Pipe fish would fit in with your current fish but they do eat them in a hunt and peck type of feeding pattern.

I have also heard that AEFW can become more problematic after treatment for Red Bugs, for some reason they keep each other in check.

Even if you took a huge hit with the acropora your tank would still be very impressive.

    Good Luck.
