    Sure it will just take much longer...I would hold the lighter in place for quite a while. It wont get near the temp as the torch.

    while your at it, y dont you build your rocks like i did in the DIY video... or drill them and use rods?
    I think this would be your best looking and smartest way to do it kacy

    Well I like being able to move the rocks around when I want to....which is why I didn't do that at the beginning. But I will think about it!

    if you go with rods you can move them... just drill a couple holes and then you can put them anywhere

    completely safe. if the rock is like massive though you may loose some anaerobic bacteria in the center if you drill the whole way through; nothing to really worry about though

    Is rinsing your rock off regularly a good idea? Ive been reading this post and makes me want to clean up my tank a bit more. I just did a WC today :p its sparkling but the rock is ehhh..
