As long as there are no predatory fish, or fish large enough to fit shrimp into their mouths
IME you would be OK with

    Blood shrimps
    Cleaner shrimps
coral banded shrimp - they can be aggresive to other shrimp though
    Sexy shrimp

Pistol - yes forgot about them

Peppermint - they do eat pest nems, but occasionally they cant tell the difference between a pest nem and an expensive designer Zoanthid - hence not strictly reef safe IMHO

depends on the species of pistol shrimp I believe, Tiger pistol shrimp get relatively large whereas Sexy shrimp are tiny

but smaller Pistols like Randals , have been kept by many in tanks with other shrimp incuding sexy shrimp

As always thanks. Ran the full gambit of tests today. Since I switched to reef crystals and started dosing Mag my parms have all started to come around. Its like x-mas all over. A little mag each day and my call went up 100 ppm in four days on its own. This may be expensive man is it fun.

Yeah, if you want another shrimp with the pistol. I would stay away from the Tiger Pistol. Mine is a shrimp killer.

We have a pair of fire shrimp in our SPS tank. They have paired up and now produce coral food! Plus these shrimp crack me up. They are the funniest things I have ever seen. Since they are breeding they are little piggies!

How big is your tank....is it the 125g? IMO pistol shrimps are better in smaller tanks as you will not see them very much in the larger tanks unless they happen to make a den in front of the tank. I had a pistol on my 135 and NEVER saw him, only heard him. Now we have one in one of our Nano tanks and we still dont see him a lot but more then the big tank

I was reading that you should only have a pair Coral Banded Shrimp if they are mated. Is this true. And i guess they like bristle and flat worms which is good. What about shrimp and my CUC they will get along?
