    Hi guys,

Sorry for posting another ID thread but I was wondering if you have things in your tank that glow. I have two spots on a rock in my tank that were glowing red last night under my moonlights. I meant to take a picture but it was late. I will try tonight when they go out. My moonlights are 1 watt LED's. I don't have any corals and just noticed them last night. I tried to take a picture today but marginally succeeded. They are the two small red portions on the rock. Thanks!!!

    Ivy

I believe it's a type of coraline algae. I have some of that in my tank too. I have never seen mine glow, but I also don't look at it much. You also have some nice purple coraline growth too.

It kind of looks like a red mushroom starting to grow. Mine glow under the actinics. Could also be some sort of macroalgae too. This is some macroalgae I found growing/glowing on one of my koralias....

    Thanks guys,

It does look very similar to your picture mattheuw1. I am hoping that it is coralline but will take macro algae too (as long as it stays in control :)). i just thought it was cool glowing under the moonlights. I will try to snap a picture tonight if I can.

I have tons of sponges too, so that may be it as well. They are too small to see right now but I will watch them to see if they get bigger. Thanks!!!!
