    i had a spare 15 gallon sitting in the garage 2 weeks ago... i said hmmmm....
    so i put a hang on the back filter on it, put some LS in it... then water.... now im woundering what to put in it....
    went to the lfs today... saw a really cool octopus that is in the stores 10gallon display tank and its really cool looking and cheap... the only thing id have todo to my 15 is make a tight seal lid to fit around the filter and skimmer.....

    ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!:confused:SHOULD I OR SHOULDNT I:confused:?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

    is it just a baby or a pygmi? if its a pygmi go for it...u may need a chiller though

    I would not get an octopus personally, they can be tricky things to keep in the tank, you would need a VERY tight fitting lid especially if you have a HOB to work around, they can squeeze through very small openings.

    On top of that you don't mention any rock in the tank which you should have as that's the octopus' natural habitat. In fact with most octopi you will rarely even see it except at feeding time. They spend most of their time hidden in the rock.

    Also, I wouldn't necessarily trust that the LFS has a good ID on the octopus, I would try and make sure you know what species you're getting.

    I would not do this. They are VERy hard to keep alive! You could always do a cool mantis tank!

    Just go with some cuddle fish, after seeing those baby pics, I want one, There cool. But can be hard to take care of 2.
