I just came across a gentleman who is selling all of his live rock and livstock. He has 2 perculas, 1 green chromis, 2 other nems, 1 feather duster, crabs, turbos, and other various snails, A large green carpet anemone and about 35lbs of live rock. He wants $150 for all. Now I realize that I couldn't house all of these critters with what I already have in my 75g, I guess I am more interested in the live rock then anything. But I am pretty sure that I could bring the carpet and the perculas to my Lfs for some store credit. If you all could take a look at what I already have for critters in my signiture and maybe give me an idea how much of the others I could possibly keep that would be great.
    Thanks

Talk to the LFS but that doesn't seem too bad. Especially for actually cured LR. I'd try to transport the LR in styrofoam coolers in water if possible. Use a bucket in the tank to remove the LR so it never sees air. Then reverse at home.

It is some pretty nice LR, he sent me a few photos and it is covered in coraline. Planned on calling Lisa(Lfs) as soon as they open. Was hoping to trade the carpet and perculas for a bucket of crystals. The carpet is huge and looks really healthy. And I already have 2 perculas so I wouldn't be able to keep them.

How much is he willing to sell you the LR? As for buying the livestock and selling it back to the LFS, Im not sure that you are going to "profit" from that exchange. My LFS takes back livestock, but at half the price. So unless you can get them at a great price, I dont see that being a good exchange. Just my 2 cents. Luna

Well if you figure the rock alone at 3.50 a lb that is $125 bucks right there. If he only wants $150 for everything it would still give me some credit. Not really sure what that big of a carpet would go for but my guess is that they are not cheap. Will find out here shortly.

The large Green Carpet alone is expensive but not very hardy or easy to maintain

Just talked to my Lfs and she actually just set up a nem tank and said she would be happy to give me credit for them.
