settingup FOWLR or FO tank

    Yes, one or two cheap powerheads will be good enough. As Heidi pointed out, you don't need much flow for FO and a wavemaker would definitely be overkill.

    More than 5 times per hour, probably 15 times would be better.

    hmm. well then here is what will my final tank setup be. 24x15x15". as filteration- a skimmer and top filter(wet dry). light - 2 blue t5, 1 white t5ho 6500k (hoping to get a 10000k or higher if possible) and a actinic03 ( will only keep actinic and 1 blue on for good coralline alge growth, white and 1 blue will be only on when there are guest at my place). 3-4" thick aragonite sand bed. water flow 10-15 times. Fishes - 2 clowns, 1 blenny, 2 fire fish, maybe 1 yellow goby, 2 skunk shripms, a few snails and maybe a starfish. im starting my tank next week. any last final thoughts or suggestions?

    Sounds like you got it down bro! I think you should add all fish at once if you can. That makes for less fighting. Make sure you have some caves for your fire fish and some places for your Benny to perch. Best of luck with your set up. Start a thread once you are all set up so we can check it out!!

    yeah lol, atlast. its just been 2.5 years into this hobby so still learning. well hated science and now coz of this hobby, i guess iv become a pro in water chemistry. just met my old science teacher 2 days back and told him about this, he laughed too.lol. Thanks for helping me out buddies.....
