Only 4 months? Sell it. And piece out the live stock, LR and sand to her while your at it. Especially if she refused to take it as a gift. I'm no relationship coach but that tells me one thing about where her mind is at. She's thinking"I don't want him taking this back if we break up in 2 months."

 

It depends on which footprint you have...the 48" 100's and 120's are 24" deep. We have a 48" 100 gal and it's a MUCH better footprint for large-bodied lionfish, as it gives them more "turnaround" room for their pectoral fin spread. We've found that lionfish that have more room will spend much more time out and about in the water column as opposed to perching because they can't "pace" in a narrow setup,

the 24" depth also opens up a whole variety of aquascaping options since there's some room to work with.

We liked the 24" depth so much, we had our 210 built as a 84" x 24" x 24" tank. Since this is a peninsula setup, it had to be viewable from 3 sides, and the 24" depth really helped in that respect.
