sealing..

so i posted new pics of my up and coming sump project. I cant believe im still waiting for parts from the states!! Anyways my question is, when i start adding these baffles, im gonna slide one piece all the way down to the botton of the tank, however the original seal at the bottom holding the 2 long sides of glass up is still there, is it possible to just seal around it?? or do you guys suggest that i cut out a little notch for the new glass to sit in perfectly? IMO i dont think it will matter. just just curious, hope this made sense.

 

What I've done in the past is just add a little extra silicone around the bottom and make sure that it is pushed down tight. I've done three different sumps in the past and never had any problems. Good luck!
