sea hare

    Just wanted to get your thoughts on getting a sea hare. Do they need algae to survive? Pros and cons of the sea hare?? So ugly they are cute ;D

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Sea hare do need a constant source of algaes to survive. Look at algae waffers as an alternative food source for them. Life span is not too long but they make a nice addition to a tank if you can provide for their dietary needs.

    They're pretty easy to kill, and like Corailline says, they don't usually live very long in an aquarium (nor in the wild, for that matter). Dolabrifera species are ugliest, but are a bit hardier than Dolabella or Aplysia species. They are also hiders, though, so if you get one of the tough ones, you probably won't see it much.
