    Hi Guys,

I have about nine or ten of these sponge looking things that I think that are Scypha sponges (please correct me if I am wrong). I really only noticed one a few days ago, but have seen about 9 smaller ones today. My question is whether or not they get out of control. If not, is it best to leave them alone? Thanks for the help!!!

    Regards,
    Ivy

Like any filter feeder- leave them alone! They typically do not get out of control, however, even if they do, they usually hang under the rock in areas that aren't easily seen- and they are an awesome addition to your tanks maintenance crew.
